With less than four weeks until we embark on our journey from London to Cannes to support the Legal & General Real Assets Cycle To MIPIM ride for 2017, we’re excited to introduce you to the Therapy Team, that will support the event.

The Legal & General Real Assets Cycle To MIPIM 2017 ride takes places over 6 days, with riders covering 1,500km in total. An epic journey, with each day split into 6 stages, with each stage covering 40-60km. Along with all the training and preparation for the event, each rider is also raising more for Coram, the children’s charity. A super charity which works tirelessly, helping vulnerable children to develop their skills and emotional health, to helping them find them permanent, loving homes.

2017 will mark our 4th year supporting the event. Throughout the six days, we will have 8  therapists on hand. Aiming to keep all riders injury and as pain free as possible, until their final destination in Cannes! To find out more about the event, click here.

Below, brings you a little information about each therapist within the team:

Claudia Chinnock – Chelmsford, Essex

Route Supporting: London – Caen – Cannes

Hi Claudia here, like me, my name tends to be shortened to Claude, so anything goes.  I have been working for myself as a sports massage therapist for 4 plus years and have undertaken a medical acupuncture course along the way,

I have been a member of Roadside Therapy since its beginning and it’s a fantastic team to be a part of! I’m an Essex girl (but only through circumstances) although I’m embracing it and love the spirit and true Essex banter.  Might come as a surprise but I box, but don’t let that put you off as I’m as soft as a pussycat! My fight name is ‘pocket rocket’ and I like to bring that fizz and sparkle to my treatments.

This is my 2nd Cycle to MIPIM and I will be facilitating riders on the route to Cannes via Portsmouth. It’s a fantastic event and I simply can’t wait to be reunited with the crew, riders and whole experience!

Clemmie Forrester – Hitchin, Hertfordshire

Route Supporting: London – Caen – Cannes

Hi I’m Clemmie, I’m based in Hertfordshire and I’ve been a Sports Massage Therapist for 3 years and have specialised in Cycling Injuries and Bike-fitting.

I joined Roadside Therapy last year on their ride from London to Amsterdam and I’m excited to join them again. My time is mainly spent riding MTB and we sneak off in our T5 Campervan to Wales, Peak District, Lake District and Scotland as much as we can in search of new trails. I love doing event massage and have worked at some cool events including London Marathon, Mountain Bike Enduro World Series and 24 hour cycle events.

I look forward to meeting new faces and fingers crossed for lots of sun! Fact about me, I raced World Champion MTBer Rachel Atherton in a race and beat her down hill… mainly because she got a puncture.

Joe Rainey – Hull, East Yorkshire

Route SupportingLondon – Caen – Cannes

Hi I’m Joe. I’ve been a sports and remedial massage therapist for a little over two years now. After setting my own business up from my mum’s living room I’m now treating clients from my own premises within a hotel.

I’m a keen cyclist myself, having raced competitively for 2 years before hanging up my racing wheels. I now consider myself more of a ‘tourer’ and would love to complete a 500 mile Hull to Paris later this year… better get training! A random fact about me, I’m really ticklish.

This will be my first cycle to MIPIM and can’t wait for the challenge. I’m sure the long days will be tiring but the atmosphere of these events always help to get you to the end still smiling!

Hello, I’m Joe and Ive been practicing Sports Massage for 2.5 years and part of Roadside Therapy for almost a year. I decided to choose this career path after studying for a Strength and Conditioning Degree in London and a Masters in Kinesiology in Texas (yeee-haaaw).

Born on the sunny Isle of Wight, this is where I now currently live and work. I am a runner by trade and have been running since the age of 6, I compete on the track, road and country and have represented my Island, County, Region and Country.

This will be my first MIPIM event so I am looking forward to gaining more long distance / multiple day event experience. A random fact about me would be is that I am a twin, my brother also runs and is frustratingly always a tiny bit faster!
